Welcome to our Notebook PC contest, also called the "Question of the Day" contest.
For this, we make you go all over the website to find the answer to the question,
so hopefully you'll understand what it is we are trying to sell! It's really a
good deal for everyone; not only will you get an education in mouse-dom, you could
also win a laptop! So come on and find the answer to the Question of the Day.
Can you hear the laptop calling to you?
Visit our pages throughout our site. Upon visiting our
Guest Book page, you will find a "Contest Question of the
Day". Answer the question correctly and your name will be
entered into a drawing to be held on the 1st of each month for a
laptop computer (beginning August 1, 1996). {* If the 1st falls
on a weekend day, the drawing will be held on the first working
day following}.
RULES:
1. YOU MUST ENTER ALL REQUIRED GUEST BOOK INFORMATION TO BE ENTERED
INTO THE DRAWING. (The address entered HAS to be the address that
you would want the laptop computer sent to if you were to win. We
will NOT ship to an alternate address.)
2. YOU MAY ANSWER THE CONTEST QUESTION ONLY ONE TIME PER
DAY. (If you answer more than once, the entry with the earliest
time shall be the entry submitted.)
3. YOU MUST HAVE THE CORRECT ANSWER TO BE ENTERED FOR THE
DRAWING. THE QUESTION CHANGES DAILY SO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF
WINNING BY VISITING THE WEBSITE DAILY AND ENTERING THE CORRECT
ANSWER. (The answer to every question CAN be found throughout our
web pages.)
4. THE WINNER WILL BE RANDOMLY SELECTED FROM A COMPUTER
DATABASE OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE ANSWERED THE QUESTION CORRECTLY.
THE ODDS OF WINNING VARY WITH THE NUMBER OF QUALIFIED ENTRIES.
5. THE TYPE AND STYLE OF LAPTOP AWARDED IS AT THE SOLE
DISCRETION OF ITAC SYSTEMS, INC. THE VALUE OF THE NOTEBOOK PC
PRIZE VARIES, BUT THAT IS IT GENERALLY IN EXCESS OF $700 (U.S.)
AND LESS THAN $1,400.
6. NO SUBSTITUTIONS.
7. ONE WINNER PER HOUSEHOLD. WINNER IS NO LONGER ELIGIBLE
TO ENTER FOR A PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS.
8. WINNER MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION UPON REQUEST
OF ITAC SYSTEMS, INC.
9. WINNERS NOT COMPLYING WITH REGULATIONS WILL BE
DISQUALIFIED.
10. NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN AND PURCHASING A
PRODUCT NEITHER INCREASES NOR DECREASED ONES ODDS OF WINNING.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:
The submission of registering to win this contest is solely
the responsibility of the participant. Any taxes, customs, duties
or other governmental levies on the laptop computer, are the
responsibility of the winner. NAFTA Certificates of Origin and
other customs documentation are not the responsibility of ITAC
Systems, Inc.
ELIGIBILITY:
All persons, worldwide, except those excluded by any clause
below, are eligible to enter and win.
Persons in the following categories are NOT eligible to
participate or win the contest:
- Persons under 21 years of age on the date of the drawing.
(You will be asked to provide proof of age.)
- Persons who from and after December 1, 1995, were or are
employees or contractors of ITAC Systems, Inc.
- Persons who are immediate family of any person in the
preceding category (including mother, father, sister, brother,
daughter, son or spouse), regardless of where they live; or
persons who reside in the same household, whether related or not
to any person in the preceding categories.
- Persons residing in localities, states, or countries in
which this contest is prohibited by law.
WINNERS NOTIFICATION:
- Winners will be notified on the 2nd of each month by
e-mail. (If the drawing on the 1st falls on a holiday or a
weekend day, the drawing will be held on the first working day
following. If the 2nd falls on a holiday or a weekend day, the
winner will be notified on the next working day following the
drawing).
- Winners will be asked to call in and send proof of
identification at that time. You may visit our
"WINNER'S CIRCLE" to
see who has won each month.
